30 Day Challenge, Day 30: The End Is Near

The final challenge is to post a picture of yourself taken this very day and tell about 5 good things that have happened since you started the challenge.  Well, this is getting off to a rough start already.  I have a big Nikon camera and I can't take a decent picture of myself with it.  I've tried.  Too unwieldy and the size puts it too close...unless you'd really want to count every freckle on my face or hair on my chinny-chin-chin (hey, I am of a certain age, you know).

I'd ask Megan to take one, but she's asleep (because she stayed out all night) and even if she wasn't, she's more than a wee bit miffed at me (because I talked to her about the previously mentioned staying out all night).  Tim is no help because he's at work and most likely won't be home until 8:00 tonight.  So, let me take a peek in the picture files and see if I can find a sort of recent one you haven't seen (and I'm willing to let you see).

Nope.  Nothing.  Guess we'll just have to skip straight to the 5 good things that have happened since I started this meme.

1.  I've made a couple of new bloggy friends.  :)

2.  My writing muscles are starting to tone up.  The Challenge and it's prompts have been a great exercise to get me thinking and writing again.

3.  The answers to some of the challenges required me to share about my faith and beliefs.  As a result, I'm a little more comfortable doing that on the blog than I was before.

4.  I went from posting a few times a week to posting every day.  Sometimes I even posted more than once a day.

5.  I'm spending more time blogging and less time on Facebook.

*In case you are wondering, I think I've found what to do next.  I found another 30-day challenge.  This one based on music.  That's right up my alley since I already post a lot of videos.  Tune (ha, I made a punny) in tomorrow !

Stand in front of the mirror and take one. Easy as pie.

Then have some pie.

Just kidding.

Your writing is good without the challenges. Trust your gifts.

Rochelle....Thank you! Your comments are always so sweet and encouraging and just make my day. Blogging has been a wonderful way to make friends I would never have known otherwise. I met one friend in person in the fall of 2009 and this fall I will be meeting Beth. I have several women I'd consider among my very best friends even though I've never met them face to face. Yet. We met through blogs and now Facebook, email, and text.

Ellen...I did think of that, but all I could think of after that is the pictures the teenage girls all take of themselves trying to look sexy and grown up on Facebook and MySpace. Ugh!

Thanks for the encouragement about writing. It means a lot coming from a teacher. :)

Oh, and NO, NO, NO to pie!!!!

Hmmm I'm doing just the opposite. More time FB'ing & Twittering than blogging. :) Great challenge.

I find I'm on the blog more than Facebook too.
