I'm Glowing!

Unfortunately, it's not in a good way.  Tim did take yesterday off and we got the garden planted.  That's the good news.  The bad news is that I never gave sun screen a thought until we were done....4 1/2 hours later.  Oops!  That's a definite no-no with my pale, freckled skin.  The good news is that it's not even close to the worst sunburn I've ever had.  This one still lurks in the realm of 1st degree burn.  I've had others in the past that were 2nd degree.  Still, it smarts and I'm sure if the lights go out we will still be able to see by the light of the red glow I'm giving off.

I'm feeling kind of guilty about pushing the issue with Tim about staying home yesterday.  He called me right before I left for work this morning to tell me what had happened.  It's not good.  Seems the guy from the cleaning company was there working on Sunday and he didn't leave until after Tim did.  He left a spigot slightly open and the hose wasn't in the drain (or something like that).  Anyway, with water running all night Sunday and all day yesterday......the building got flooded.  Carpets are ruined.  Floors are buckled.  I didn't get to ask him, but I hope this is the building that gets turned over on June 24th, not the one due to be turned over tomorrow.  Either way, bad timing.  Tim's mad at the cleaning guy (and that is where the blame lies) but I can't help feeling guilty.  If he had worked yesterday, he'd have found this and maybe the damage wouldn't be so bad.

At least the garden is planted.

I literally gasped when I read what happened at the work site. Eek. It's not your fault, but I'd feel guilty too. I think it's a woman thing.

However, the PROFESSIONAL is the one at fault, so we need to let you let this go. Okay?

I'm so sorry about all the chaos and mess that's going on at work. And do not feel guilty about wanting more time with someone you love. And slathering myself with aloe vera gel (which you can get at any drugstore) always immediately soothes and cools an ouchy sunburn. Sending you lots of hugs.

I hate the sunburn, but love the pealing.

Ellen & Wendy....I'm not really blaming myself, just feel a twinge of guilt because it is a BIG mess. Tim's taking it pretty well, though. Type A that he is, I'm surprised.

Coffey....Ewww! You and my mom. She will peel the burn off of anyone that will let her. Ick.
