Getting Christmassy with the Wednesday Hodgepodge

1. Do you send Christmas cards? If so about how many will you send this year? How do you display the cards you receive? Or don't you? (gasp!)
~ I still do, though I don't know why, because hardly anyone sends one back these days.  I will send about 30 out.  Probably.

2. When do kids become adults?
~ It depends on who you ask.  My mother, who is the world's biggest Negative Nellie, would say they never do and that she's still waiting for me to grow up and get my life together.  My daughter would say as soon as they turn 18.  She's been doing her darnedest to call all the shots since that magical birthday...never mind that she lives at home for free.  Ask me and I'd say it depends on the kid.  My daughter, for instance is not ready to be out on her own, however....I think if she's old enough to ignore my advice and do whatever she wants in my home....then she's old enough to start being responsible for her own bills and to pitch in around here....which means she needs a real job.

3. Does your 'beauty regimen' change with the seasons?
~ Nah, probably it should, but...nah.

4. What's something you like to eat that might cause another person to turn up their nose?
~ Brusselsprouts are the absolute bestest veggie in the world!

5. Gloves or mittens?
~ Gloves.  It's too hard to do anything with mittens on.

6. What's the longest queue you've ever been in? Was it worth it? Queue=line but doesn't queue sound nicer?
~ Without a doubt, the queue for Splash Mountain at Disney World, March 1997....3.5 hours of my life I'll never get back.

7. Besides Christmas, what is one thing you are looking forward to in the month of December?
~ Finishing my Spiritual Formation class next week.  I've enjoyed the class and learned a lot, but I'm ready to have free time again.

8. Insert your own random thought here.
~ This is my Facebook status today:

Over the hump, last day of November, snow on the way, and Christmas just around the corner....lots of fodder there for gratefulness. Be intentional about it people. Look for the good today and share it with someone when you find it. :)

I love Brussel sprouts. But then I like most veggies. I think that some kids are never adults, or act like grown ups.

I know I am late to this Hodgepodge. It's been a busy week. I still receive a lot of cards. I love sending them. I have to get me some brussel sprouts. Have seen some great recipes lately. I think mittens are for something like a football game.
