We Remember

Maundy Thursday.

Our Savior's final hours of freedom.  The weight of knowing what was to come.  Of what had to be.  The very human fear.  The bittersweetness of the Last Supper....knowing one of the twelve would betray him that very night and that the others would fail him.  The anguish of the garden.  Yet, through it all....he still loved and taught.  He showed us how to be in the Father's will.

Tonight the little fellowship I am part of will be gathering to eat a "Last Supper" meal.  It will be made with foods traditional to the time of Jesus as much as possible.  I am making citrus semolina cakes.  We will learn about Jesus's last hours with the disciples.  We will break bread and drink from the cup...in remembrance of Him.  We will get on our knees and wash the feet of other believers and WE. WILL. REMEMBER.

Please enjoy this song today as you do your own remembering.
