Follow Friday

Photobucket

I'm linking up with Hilary at Feeling Beachie again this week for Follow Friday Four Fill-In Fun.  This week Hilary's co-host is Megan at Monday Morning Musings.  The gist of it is that four statements are given with certain words left out.  Participants have to fill in the blanks.  Click on the button or links above to view other's answers or find out all the rules to join in.

This week's statements:

1.       I can’t stand when people say ____
2.       If you are going to __ please___
3.       Call me a _____ because ______
4.       If I had a dollar for every time I heard ______, I swear I’d be a millionaire by now.

My answers:

1.      I can't stand when people say "whatever."  It demonstrates such a crappy attitude and lack of respect.
2.      If you are going to cook in my kitchen please clean up your own mess.  I am not the maid.
3.      Call me a treasure hunter because I love flea markets, garage sales, tag sales, thrift stores, auctions....
4.      If I had a dollar for every time I heard my 19-year-old daughter say "Oh, my god, mom," I swear I'd be a millionaire by now.

My niece is living here, and though she doesn't cook much, she sure doesn't clean up her messes. In defense of her though, her mom never did either. So I don't think she's ever been told how!

I am so with you about cleaning up the kitchen. I feel the same way about the house. If you going to drop your stuff then pick it up.

Messy kitchens makes me think of when our daughters were young. Man, could they destroy it! I sure do miss it, though. I wish they were still at home just for awhile like this again.

Hopping from Hilary's 4F & am your newest follower, Cathy

I am usually the only one in my kitchen these days but I must admit when the hubby leaves the cereal container out it kind of drives me nuts. I think sometimes it is because he plans to have more or something but hey-__put it away!!! Kitchens need to be clean!!! Great answers! Coming over from Hilary's!!!

I hate messy kitchens! And it really bothers me when someone else tries to cook in mine.

Love the kitchen answer... and how about getting rich every time they say "Like" when it is inappropriate?

Ellen...Yes, I would cut her a break, but I'd sure expect her to learn.

Rochelle...I decided to stop with the kitchen. I could go on about the house, too. Slobs...I live with slobs!

Cathy...I know I will miss it when my daughter does move out, but I'll probably still grumble till she does. Thanks for following me!

Beth Ann...Yes, they do! We've had an ant problem the last two summers. I do not want one this year. PUT THE FOOD AWAY! :)

My Kid's Mom...I know. My current stove is a glass-top and I cringe whenever anyone else cooks on it. They are not careful at all.

Brenda...You know, like, I think you're right. LOL

I'm with you on the "whatever" as an annoying retort, especially when it is said with a Valley accent (wa-EVAH), with sass. Every time I hear that, I want to buy the person a dictionary and say "here, expand your repertoire, there are some juicy words that would be much more appropriate for the occasion!".

Have a good weekend, Stacy :)

Flea markets are the best! I hate "whatever" too!

I know if I ever say "whatever" it means you didn't win this arguement! Love your fil-in for #2.
OMG...something I say to often.
Have a nice weekend Stacy.

I don't like it when other people cook in my kitchen. And I hate having to clean up after the hubby. He's a great cook but he sure knows how to make the biggest messes. At least, I didn't have to cook!!!

I'm right there with you on #1 and #2. Especially #2.

Have a blessed weekend!

Oh, yeah! I'm feeling number two. Can I expand it a bit? If you're going to live in my house, can you clean up behind yourself? ARGH! Enjoyed your answers.
