Another Snow Day and I'm Bored Already

Whoo-hoo!  It's another snow day.  Actually, though, it's not snowing any more and the roads, at least the main ones, aren't too bad.  It's just the darn side streets and back roads that are gumming everything up.  Given the whole I-drive-a-school-bus-for-a-living thing....I'm good with the decision to stay home.  Still, there's a lot of snow out there.  I'm guessing a good foot, anyway.

Not much going on.  I drove Megan to work earlier and went to Wally World for essentials, like Tim's Rice Krispies and my Pepsi.  It was kind of nice to be out of the house so I wandered around a bit (a dangerous thing at Wally World) and found really comfy, really warm, and really ugly slippers on clearance sale.  They kind of look like they're made out of poodle pelts.  Oh well, my poodle doesn't seem to be offended.

Because I knew you couldn't live without seeing these babies!
I also found the Isotoner gloves I told everyone on the freakin' planet I wanted for Christmas and didn't get because no one could find them.  I love them for driving the bus and I've been wearing the last pair for five winters now.  They are full of holes and the padding on the palms is worn through and hanging in tatters.  You have no idea how excited I am to have found them.

And lastly, besides the above mentioned "essentials" I came across a little daily devotion book that a friend of mine had just posted from on Facebook yesterday.  I wasn't looking for it, but I took it jumping out at me as a sign to buy it.  The bit my friend had posted has really been working on me and from what I've seen flipping through it the rest promises to be good.  It's called Jesus Calling by Sarah Young.  The devotions are short, but she really gets to the heart of the matter and expresses it in the easiest to understand way.

Now I'm kinda bored.  I watched a movie yesterday afternoon.  I don't really feel like watching another one today.  I'll probably end up reading.  Heaven knows there are plenty of books sitting around in need of being read.  Not to mention the ones I've downloaded to my Nook.

I just love when you give into my demands.

Thank you for being nice, my day is the opposite of yours. Meeting this a.m., teaching all day--no plan time, tutoring a group of nine for an hour, tutoring private student for an hour, driving home, stopping long enough to freshen make-up (like it will matter), maybe eating (who am I kidding, eating), and then driving to church to get interviewed for a (cool, I hope) video.

Now you have to be even more bored after reading that!!!

And I love the slippers, but the gloves? My "man hands" (can you say loooong fingers) never fit in them. :(

No, not bored. It actually sounds like an interesting day.

I have really long fingers, too and normally these "one size fits all" gloves wouldn't work for me, either BUT these are stretchy. :)
