Easter Sunday

I hope you are all having (or had) a wonderful Easter with family or friends.  We are winding down now.  Our son, Matt, and his family came home yesterday afternoon and went to church with me.  Tim didn't get home from work until after 8:00 (dealing with the final details because he has to do a walk-through and turn over one floor of the medical building he's working on to the tenants first thing tomorrow morning).

Our granddaughter had such a good time at church.  She adored the other kids and they (all a little older than she) were crazy about her, too.  She was so cute shaking everyone's hands and pretending she was praying during the service.  I hope Matt and Ashlei one day get involved in a church give Sora the opportunity to have that in her life.  Tim and I decided the next time she's home and we don't have plans we're going to see if some of the kids from church can come play with her.  Maybe when it warms up enough that the pool's open.

This morning I got up at 5:00 to put the ham in the oven and again at 8:00 to stay up.  Everyone else got up around 9:30.  We did the Easter baskets (I'll try to post a couple of pictures tomorrow) and relaxed for a while, watching TV, dozing, reading the paper....  I also made pasta salad.  I had, thankfully, gotten everything else done yesterday.  Mom has a bigger table and dining room so we carried everything up there (she just lives behind us) and had dinner there.  This afternoon we played Creationary (Pictionary with Lego blocks instead of paper and pencil) and found out that we have no Lego skills at all.

Megan is out with friends and Matt and his family left a little after 7:00 so it's just Tim and I and the house seems sooooo quiet.  I guess I should start getting used to it, huh?
