We are NOT getting our new roof this week. The head of the roofing crew called last night to say they'd be here sometime today to get started, they just needed to finish up the house they were on. Okay, great! Then I asked if that meant they'd be bringing or having the materials delivered today, too, since they weren't delivered yesterday as the previous call had said they would be.
"You didn't get materials?"
Uh, no. Not unless they like to hide them for kicks. I'm pretty sure I'd notice a big noisy truck in the driveway and a pallet or two of shingles and whatever else. Nothing like that out there. He said he'd have to check on that and call me back.
In the meantime, Tim's aunt called me to say her shingles had been delivered (she is using the same company). Something started to ping in my brain, gears started to turn, and I wondered......since I connected her with the company and was there for the inspection and all.....was it possible they had the two of us confused? I called our contact guy and yes, it turns out the roofing crew did. They meant all along to work on Tim's aunt's house, but called my number.
Drat. Probably next week.

I am, but they delivered my shingles this afternoon. That may mean they're still coming tomorrow. I won't know till they call and say they're coming.
