It's Okay Tuesday!

On Tuesdays I've taken to joining in with Whispering Writer (WW hasn't posted in a few days because she is in the midst of moving her military family to Oklahoma) on a an idea she borrowed from Glamour Magazine.  She calls it It's Okay Tuesdays.  It's when we can take a moment and tell ourselves that those quirky things we think and do are...well....OKAY!

HEY, IT'S OKAY...

...to believe your grandchild is the cutest, smartest, bestest, most adorable, precocious, genius to ever grace a pair of Pampers.

...to be so excited about your two favorite authors both having new books out today that you think it's better than Christmas.

...that your floors aren't clean enough to eat off of.  Who wants to eat off the floor anyway?

...to be really, super relieved that the insurance is going to pay for a contractor to put a new roof on the house...because you know if your husband did it (he is capable) it would be a real hassle and probably end up being not quite totally finished 5 years from now...and you know you'd end up fighting about it.

Too true...

Let me add, it's OK to not reply to email within 10 minutes of its arrival because you're on vacation. I still have a hard time with that...

Amen! (so do I)

Amen to all of the above! Especially that last one! I actually (and sincerely) offered to help Amber get settled in. I think she thinks I'm some crazy stalker person!

To the first one yes, just don't (and you don't) try to force your beliefs on us.

;) I'm speaking in general terms about grammas who talk incessantly about their grandchildren.

Sora is a total cutie pie!

Beth...she probably doesn't, but with smaller kids at home, I can't blame her if she's more cautious.

Ellen...I promise to NEVER be one of those. I work with a woman who thinks I am a total failure as a grandmother because I'm not constantly shoving pictures of Sora down everyone's throat like she does to us with pics of her granddaughters. Every day all we hear is what they did now. I love kids but bleeech!

You read the whole book today? Or did you somehow manage to get a copy early?

What two new books? Who are you favorite authors! Grandmas are supposed to feel that way...I think it's in the fine print or something!

A local store had the book out early. I grab that book so fast my husband was laughing at me.
