1. Using what's in your frig right now what sort of meal would you be able to make for guests who are knocking at the front door this very minute?
~ A really amazing salad and a cheeseburger with an awesome glass of raspberry frost wine (so you won't care the dinner's nothing fancy).
2. What is something about yourself that you hope will change but that probably never will?
~ My super curly hair. I've been waiting 47 years to wake up with straight hair, so I've pretty much given up hope.

3. What's something about yourself that you hope will never change?
~ My love of reading.

4. Do you usually send serious or funny greeting cards? Why?
~ Funny. Mostly just because I love to laugh and want to make others laugh, too, but also because a lot of the "serious" ones are so....mooshy, that they make me ill. That and they don't ring true with me. I just gave my mom a talking birthday card with Maxine on the front advising her to get a birthday cake with her face on it. When you opened the card Maxine says "because it's a great way to tell a whole lotta people ' Bite Me!'" I thought it was hilarious and Mom laughed like crazy. Better than some slobbery thing neither of us means.

5. Bird watching, shell gathering, or star gazing- your choice for whiling away the hours?
~ While I like them all, the beach is my happy place and I could spend the entire day wandering along picking up stuff.

6. Do you double or triple check things? If so, what?
~ Just my comments and Facebook. Talk to me, people!
7. What's your favorite place for people watching?
~ Sports events or concerts, because then they're goofy and drunk.
8. Insert your own random thought here.
~ It's not hard to meet expenses. They're everywhere!

Ha-facebook didn't occur to me...it probably should have!
"Frig" made me laugh, I've never seen it spelled that way!
I have curly hair too. Le Sigh.
Oh my - that Maxine card made me crack up! Love it!!! Thanks for stopping by my blog as well - glad I saved some fishies from an unnecessary death... good grief!
Dinner sounds delicious. Nothing like a good cheeseburger :)
I have curly hair too. I am able to straighten it and I was amazed when I cut my hair it doesn't frizz as easily! I thought it would frizz more. Curly hair is so pretty though.
I would love a cheeseburger and salad.
It's lunch time here and I guess I'll have a hotdog. We also have some leftover yellow rice.
I am constantly checking my e-mail (for comments) and Facebook.
You and I are twins separated at birth!!
I totally agree with you on sappy cards. They just seem so over the top and phoney! I spend lots of money every 6 months to make my straight hair curly. Love your name for the beach and I'll be adopting it immediately!!
I'm going to be chuckling over that last line all day! :)
Joyce...I am totally OCD about comments. I try not to check more than a couple of times a day, but, well...
Ellen...le sigh, indeed. :/
Sally...yep, I was just thinking about putting some of my shells out around my fish pond and I'm sure some would eventually get knocked in so guess that idea's out.
Theresa...I straighten my when I have time and/or feel like taking the time. It's such a pain. I'm just growing mine back out after several years of having it short. Mine was still frizzy when it was short. :P
Michelle...mmm, saffron rice. I just discovered that recently.
Donna...Happy Place is stolen directly from the movie "Happy Gilmore" with Adam Sandler. The scene where his golf coach tells him to find his happy place. Yeah, mine is definitely the beach. Oh, and I'm thinking of spending lots of money to have my hair straightened...kind of an anti-perm.
Beth...I liked it, too. That's why it's shamelessly stolen from a friend on FB.
Sounds like someone has a Facebook addiction... just sayin'
:-)
The cheeseburger and salad sound fancy enough for me. Beats out my bologna sandwich thats for sure!
I'm right there with ya on the whole card thing!
(PS... the little code word I have to type in below is "denied"... Should I take it personal??)
Such a funny card! I love Maxine :)
I'm talking to you, by the way ;) I like checking my comments and FB too!
Susan...who me??? :)
Rebecca...nothing personal. I played a "game" on a blog once where the blog owner had us post definitions for the security word we were given. It was a hoot. Now I can't help trying to think of a meaning every time I have to type one.
Amiee...thank you! It was awfully quiet for a while there. :)
Your meal sounds yummy! I wake up with super straight hair and always wanted the curls. I use to check my email all the time for comments.
Debby....maybe you could give me some straight and I could give you some curl.
