It's time once again for IT'S OKAY, TUESDAY an idea Whispering Writer borrowed from Glamour Magazine. This is the day when we get to tell ourselves that all our little "quirks" are perfectly normal.
HEY, IT'S OKAY...
...to be yelling at Megan for coming home with not one, but three, guinea pigs (mama and two babies) without asking...lecturing her on keeping the cage clean...all while cuddling the littlest baby every chance I get and trying to figure out how to keep him/her for my own.
...to have spent the whole day doing nothing but sitting around watching episodes of "World's Dumbest" with Tim. Well, I did one load of Tim's work clothes so he doesn't have to go to work naked tomorrow, but other than that...
...to think men got the better deal. Women have periods, cramps, PMS, the pain of childbirth, menopause, hot flashes, legs that have to be shaved, armpits that have to be shaved, eyebrows and upper lips that have to be waxed, chins that have to be plucked or shaved or waxed, gray hair makes us look old not distinguished, extra weight makes us fat pigs instead of jolly or "good old boys", our boobs migrate south to our waists, and what do men get? Ear hair. Yeah, that seems fair.
...to be simultaneously excited and scared to death about my seminary class starting this week. My last college class was 27 years ago, you know.
...to still be flying high on the whole Toby Keith experience. Seriously. He had his arm around me. My entire left side was smack up against him. He spoke actual words directly to me. He shook my hand. He looked me in the eyes. Yep...still flying high. LOL
...to be facing another week of too many things to do and not enough hours in the day. I will survive. It's the way of the American woman.
