Friday Fragging 2012 Style

Mommy's Idea

It's been a while since I've done Friday Fragments...since Black Friday, to be exact.  FF is the brain-child of Mrs. 4444 over at Half-Past Kissin' Time.  It's a blog hop where participants share all the little things going on or on their minds, the stuff that isn't big enough to be a post on its own.  It's a fun way to catch up with bloggers you know and to make some new friends.  If you'd like to participate just hop on over to Mrs. 4444's blog for the rules and to sign up.

Normally, I just love Tim Tebow and wish him and the Broncos all the best.  I think he is a fine, upstanding young man that many boys who look to athletes as their heroes would do well to emulate.  All the fuss and hoopla surrounding his faith is not his doing, but that of the fans and media, tho' I don't think it's all bad that people are seeing someone who is not afraid to put God first in his life.

That is normally.  This week Tim and the Broncos are facing my beloved Steelers (if you cut me, do I not bleed black & gold?) in the wild card game for a spot in the play-offs.  I have to be rooting for my boys.  There is lots of good-humored joshing going on over on Facebook this week.  A few of my favorites:

Soooo.....yesterday I asked one of the 6th grade boys on the bus if he'd ever been diagnosed as hyperactive. (Hey, he was bouncing off the walls, talking a mile a minute, and just acting like he was on the biggest sugar high ever.)  He looks at me and asks..........are you ready for this......

"Does that have anything to do with black people and yogurt?"

I kid you not.  It took about 10 minutes to figure out that when he heard "hyperactive", he thought Activia yogurt in whose commercials there is apparently a black woman eating the stuff.

What 11-year-old boy knows about Activia?

Sure am loving this amazing weather.  Temperatures near 50 degrees and lots of sunshine today.  In January!  More of the same tomorrow.  It certainly makes it easier to avoid those winter blues.

Well, lots to do this morning before I have to go back to work for the afternoon runs so I'd best get to it.  Have a wonderful weekend and .....

GO STEELERS!
Sorry Tebow.

Dropping by from FF. I used to live near Pittsburgh and it is a great city. Good luck to the Steelers this weekend...so many injuries.

I drove a school bus for 11 years, and was that ever an experience! Then I got my nursing degree, then my business degree, now I wish I was back with all those wild little Indians (figuratively speaking). They keep you young.

I am definitely rooting for the Broncos, being a Browns fan. Your big bad Stealer hurt our QB giving him a concussion.

C'mon Broncos!

I'm loving this mild winter weather too; just think, only 2 months until spring!

LOLOL about hyperactive/activia.

I guess little boys who watch TV know about activia!

Wayne...Hi and thanks for visiting! The Steelers still have a chance...Denver's not played as well.

Marti...Some days I love driving the bus and some days...not so much. And wow! That's a lot of school.

Ellen...Maybe just a little. ;)

Meandgettingbetter...I know, right? The other kids on the bus and I were howling. Thanks for visiting. :)

Karen and Gerard...A Browns fan?? Well, I guess someone has to cheer for them. ;P And the Brownies managed to bang up a few Steelers.

Keetha...The really funny thing is the same kid today announced that he wants to be a neuro surgeon when he grows up.
