Feeling a bit down this morning.  My poodle, my buddy, shadow, and constant companion is very sick.  He is listless, woozy and stumbling, not eating, drinking very little, and his urine and vomit (not that there is much output of either) are bright orange.  He just stands in one place with his head hanging.  The vet, hoping it is just an infection or a case of having eaten something he shouldn't have, gave us three kinds of pills to give him over the weekend.  If he isn't showing any improvement by Monday, however, x-rays and blood work will be scheduled to look for tumors or kidney failure.  Both of which, the vet tells me there isn't much that can be done for.  He's currently standing and staring at the bowl of food he can't eat.  I hate watching my little buddy suffer and not being able to do anything.  It's going to kill me if I lose him.

Well, can't sit around moping all day, even if it is what I feel like doing....so here are some links to good stuff found around the blogospere this week.

Beth at Looking for Tigger had a great post about learning to trust God in the hard stuff.

Ann Voskamp wrote of The Perfect Valentine's Day Gift for a Mother.

Kris at Always Alleluia wrote If I Have Not Love.

Kristen of We Are THAT Family writes about the importance of asking your spouse questions.

And a fantastic idea I found on Pinterest (link leads to the original site and directions):

One of the reasons my son never wanted a pet is he knew he would lose it. I have watched and lived through the loss of my friend's pets this year, and though we are still planning for a dog one day, it gives me paws.

Remember, you will live through whatever the truth will be. And your pooch has had a wonderful life with you.

Now with all that said, I'm hoping his days are many more.

So sorry to hear that puppy is sick. My dog is one of the family--my companion. Hope that the vet will be able to help. Thanks for the links. I love the frame one. I have seen those frames at WalMart and now I know an excellent use for them.

I am so sorry about your buddy. Hopefully tomorrow he will feel better. I know how you feel. I felt the same way when our dog got sick. It is also hard because they can't tell you want is wrong. Sending you a hug Stacy.

Have you seen the change in blogger with the word verification? The words are hard and almost unreadable.
