Got pulled for another school bus inspection this morning. My second since January. Normally there are two per year. One in the Fall and one in the Spring. They never got around to the first one until January. My bus didn't pass that one. I had to leave it in the lot at the school and the mechanics had to come tighten a
bold on the suspension before it could be moved. The exhaust was also totally separated from the muffler. It passed today. It's just the idea of being pulled....again. They haven't missed me once in the last three years. The inspections are a good thing and this one was particularly thorough due to the bus wreck in nearby Somerset on Tuesday.....I just wish they'd pick on someone else for a change.
Planning on a girls' night out tonight. Mom, Megan and I are finally going to see The Vow. It's playing at the cheap-o theater in Ligonier. Actually, it's a nice older theater that the local theater group has restored to give them a place to put on plays, but they also show movies on the weekends to raise funds. Still, at $21.50 for two adult admissions, a large popcorn, 2 drinks, and a box of candy, you can't beat it.
There's good news on the job front. At least for the kids. (Tim continues to do "busy-work" to get in his 40 hours. Little bits of this and that as the banks still aren't releasing funds for construction projects.) Megan got a call from the hospital asking if she was still interested in a job. Yes! The person who called her said another man, who is out of town this week, would be calling to set up a drug test. That sounds like she's going to get it to me. Her boyfriend started a new job this week. He has to work 7 days a week for the next three months (swing shifts) until his probation is up and he gets in the union.
Bonus here for me might be seeing more of Megan....if she ever gets out of bed before I go back to work.
We've known for a while that we're getting another grandchild in August. We found out yesterday that Aiden Colin is due to make an appearance on August 4.
Time to find some lunch and get ready to head back to work. As always, the private school I also drive for, has a 2:00 dismissal. It's my last run for them until April. Lucky dogs have a 2-week Spring Break. The public schools don't do Spring Break. They have five days off at Easter and that's it. Of course, they are done May 29 this year.
Have a great weekend, everyone, and I hope you get out there to enjoy this amazing weather!
