Had a wonderful time with friends last night. We met two other couples from church for dinner at Joe's Crab Shack at Station Square. We laughed so much! It always amazes me how often you hear the thinking from non-believers that Christians are boring, stuffy, sticks in the mud, because I can honestly say the best and most fun times I've EVER had have been with Christians. There's a lot to be said for being filled with a genuine joy that is independent of our circumstances.
Tim is off to work on the future church building this morning. I've got to head to the store for the ingredients to make something for the fellowship dinner we have every Saturday after church and there is a council meeting tonight, too. As the vice-president of the council it's fallen on me to run the meetings as our president had a stroke in the past and feels unsure in public speaking.
Well, getting down to the business at hand, here are some links for you to check out:
Pat Robertson is at it again. He is calling for the legalization of marijuana. Read more about it here. A lot of interesting fodder here for discussion.
Beth is facing a very tough situation at work. Do you have any advice for her? Can you add your prayers to those of others?
My sweet blog friend, Rochelle, is a very talented photographer and takes the most amazing pictures!
Craig always gives me a lot to think about. Deep, describes his posts.
The younger generation is, for the most part, missing in action from the church. Find out here what 3 things the youth who stay in church have in common.
It's a joy for me to introduce you to Artistic31Mama. Back in another life, she was one of the girls I had the pleasure of loving while I was a youth leader.
Another Beth came to visit my blog this week for the first time via Ann Voskamp's Multitude on Mondays. I returned the visit and have come to appreciate her blog, Messy Marriage.
And the Pinterest share of the week....the ultimate beach chair for readers!

I need that chair! Hope you are well, Stacy. Thanks for the sweet shares- I look forward to them.
That first chair looks kind of like the table the doctor puts me on to do steroid in ejections in my neck. This last time there was a photo of her newborn baby for me to admire on the floor. Thanks for your support ... And the link! Love you!
Injections ... Steroid ejections sound scary!
