Such a nice day today. The sun could be shining, but otherwise....temperatures in the 70s, a nice breeze, pollen tamped down a little from last night's rain. Not too shabby!
Procrastinators that we are, the first thing on our agenda this morning was GETTING THE TAXES DONE! There is only one thing I hate more than getting the taxes done (buying a car is that thing, in case you're wondering) so I admit to not being the happiest of campers when I started out this morning. I was feeling even less happy when we learned right off the bat that our daughter was no longer a deduction. Thank heaven we ended up having enough other deductions that we ended up getting refunds on both the federal and state returns. Yea! There was enough to pay H & R Block, the local earned income tax, and still have a nice little bit left over. Wooo-hooo!! Our daughter got nice returns, too.
We hopped over to the grocery store next to H & R Block to get a new box of Zyrtec and they had fresh sweet corn displayed right inside the door. Yum! We picked out some of that and then started talking about grilling....so off we went to another little grocery store out in middle of nowhere that has awesome meats. We picked out three gorgeous steaks and a couple of potatoes and sweet potatoes for baking. Going to do our first grilling of the season for supper. Can't wait.
Megan and I took the dog for a walk around the neighborhood and stood visiting with neighbors for a good while. Now it's apparently nap-time since I'm the only one awake. Tim and Megan are going to go out in a little bit to wash his truck and clean it out.
Yep. It's a nice day.
Oh, and here's the Pinterest share of the week (I forgot it yesterday):
