~ That's an easy one. Now that the kids are grown and we actually have some disposable income I spend the money to pamper myself from time to time. That includes good haircuts, salon coloring, salon straightening, and pedicures.
2. Have you ever taken a cooking class? Any interest? What type of class would you most like to try?
~ The only cooking class I've taken was home-ec back in junior high school and calling it a cooking class is a stretch. We made things like no-bake cookies. I would love to take a cooking class and have shown several at the community college to the hubby....the idea being we could do them together. He's agreeable but doesn't have the time. Sigh. I would love to take a class from Ree Drummond, the Pioneer Woman. She teaches classes at her ranch, you know!
3. What does it mean to be a good citizen?
~ Hooooboy! That could be a loaded question these days. It is apparently open to a LOT of interpretation, too. To me, it means loving your country and it's citizens, faults and all. It means standing up for what's right and getting off your duff and getting involved. It means being interested and informed and participating in the process. It means protecting the rights and liberties granted by the founding fathers. It means trying to make things a little better than you found them.
4. 'Tis the season of the political advert...do these ads influence your vote?
~ Absolutely NOT! They are so negative and bent on tearing down the opponent that mostly they just sadden or amuse me. The only thing that influences my vote is facts and what I make of them when put up against my values.
5. What's something you see today that makes you wish you were a kid again?
~ Nothing. I'm not afraid of acting like a big goofball so if I see a cool toy I'll play with it in the here and now.
6. What's your least favorite cliche?
~ "It is what it is." It's my dear husband's response to just about everything. Grrrr....it makes me see red!
7. What percentage of your Christmas shopping has been completed? How does that make you feel?
~ 0% and that makes me feel panicked! One of the bus kids just informed me this morning it's only 75 days till Christmas. *groan*

One good thing about having the kids out of the house: a little bit of disposable income for important things like pedis! :)
I have no idea what disposable income is but it sure sounds good. Maybe one of these days, I'll experience it.
We do have the kids out of the house, but one still in grad school working a part time job so we're helping her with rent. It's a process : ) She finishes up with her Masters in the summer so we're almost there.
