Snakey Hodgepodge

1.  Chinese New Year will be celebrated on February 10th, and 2013 is the year of the snake. When did you last see a snake?  Are you okay around snakes or do they give you the shivers?
~ I don't know the last time I saw a snake outside of Animal Planet.  Maybe squished on the road, which would be probably my favorite way to see a snake.  They don't just give me the shivers, they send me screaming into the night.  Or day.

2. The color red in Chinese culture usually means good luck.  Do you believe in luck?
~ No, sorry.

3. sledding-ice skating-building a snowman...if given a choice, which activity would you choose?  Which of the three have you done most recently?
~ Snowman...all the way around.  It's what I'd rather do and I don't remember when I last went sledding or skating and the whole snowman thing was probably when my kids were little.

4.  Ralph Waldo Emerson is credited as saying, "The years teach much which the days never knew."  Where have you seen this quote played out in your own life?
~ Oh my, marriage, raising kids...I have a lot of "wisdom" after 28 years of marriage and having 2 grown children.

5. When was the last time you ate a cupcake?
~ Probably last Spring when I made chocolate-peanut butter ones for the mechanic at work on his birthday.

6. What's something you can't say no to?
~ Waaay too many things, but to pick one....books.  Any kind.  New.  Used.  Collectible.  Electronic.  Fiction.  Biography.  Any book.

7.  Are you a doodler?
~ Yeah, if I have a pen in my hand and there's some kind of paper handy I will draw on it while I'm talking or on the phone or sitting in a class.  I usually stick to flowers, animals and geometric designs, but you never know.  To keep the kids busy in restaurants when they were little we played "the doodle game."  One person draws a quick squiggle on the paper and the other person has a time, say a minute, to turn it into something.  I rock at the doodle game.

8.  Insert your own random thought here.
~ Just a little giggle to get you over the hump.

Squished sounds like the best way to me too! Snowman are the best.
Love the Manogram. They should all experience that once....

You do have a lot of wisdom to share! Maybe you can somehow turn that into your "theme." Hope you're having a great day!

I agree that no one really knows where they're going until they get there. I mean that even when you think you're prepared, there will always be twists in the road you didn't put on your map.

Thanks for the giggle!

You just reminded me that I have a really good recipe for a chocolate cupcake with peanut butter icing. You sprinkle crumbled Butterfinger on top. The icing is so so good. I might have to bake some of those one day soon. Have a nice weekend!
