Hey, It's Okay Tuesday ~ Tornado Edition

Good morning, all!  It's another beautiful, though (extremely) hot, day here. It's a good day to be alive and thank the Man upstairs for all my many, many blessings...and to lift up everyone affected by yesterday's monster tornado in Moore, OK.  My heart and prayers go out to everyone who lost someone, lost their home, was injured, or who is one of the many, many people helping with the search and rescue efforts and the weeks and months of clean up that will follow.  May God grant you his peace that surpasses understanding and the strength to cope.

If you would like to contribute to the relief efforts, contact the Red Cross.

Now on to Hey, It's Okay Tuesday, the fun little meme Amber (who lives in OK and is, thankfully, just fine) created after seeing a similar format in Glamour magazine.  The basic idea is just to let ourselves know that it's okay to have our little quirks or to not see the world like everyone else does.

Hey, it's okay.....

To wonder if it would be possible to round up all the people making rude comments about the situation in OK...about how they deserved it for building cheap homes or building in Tornado Alley or that it was the wrath of god on a bunch of crackers...and ship them all off to see the Wizard to get hearts and brains?  Then ship them to OK and make them work clean up duty until it's done.

To think it was pretty classy of CBS to pull the Mike & Molly season finale last night because it was about a tornado.

To know that you will go ape on anyone who tells you what happened in the Hawaii Five-O finale before you get to watch it.

To fantasize about calling in to work sick this afternoon....it's supposed to be 91 degrees, which translates to about 101 on the bus.

To wish your daughter spent as much time doing productive things as she does taking pictures of herself and posting them to Facebook.

To wish it was June 5 and school was done and summer vacation was beginning....even if it does mean the end of paychecks and start of unemployment checks (a little less than half the pay).

To hope we don't get the bad storms the nice weatherman says are possible this afternoon.  I've been through a couple of tornadoes...not on the scale of the one in Moore, but they were plenty big enough for me.

Okay, I'm off to do some house cleaning before it gets too hot.

Keeping everyone in my thoughts and prayers. I haven't even watched my Mike & Molly yet but that was awesome of CBS to pull it.

Maybe being IN Oklahoma has protected me from those idiots! Or them from me!

Hawaii 5-0, NCIS, and NCIS-LA all annoyed me with their season finale cliffhangers! But I won't tell you what happened! =)

I did not know that about Mike and Molly. I watch the show but obviously it didn't air because the local news was covering the tornado. I was just planning on catching it On Demand at some point.

And yes, some of the Oklahoma comments are pretty rude :/
