Outside my window... Early morning sunlight kisses the world awake as a nice breeze coaxes..."Come out and play!"
I am thinking... about what to get our friends' granddaughter in honor of her first birthday. The party is later today.
I am thankful... I was able to meet up with two good friends for lunch this past Friday. They make me laugh as no one else does. I needed that!
In the kitchen... a big mess. Let's just leave it at that.
I am wearing... jammies, robe, and slippers.
I am creating... "God boxes" as Mothers' Day gifts for the women at church.
I am going... to shower and dress soon so I can head to Wally World (Wal-mart) in search of a birthday present for a 1-year-old.
I am wondering...why there aren't more hours in a day. I have so much to do and never enough time to get it all done.
I am reading... nothing right now, but the book club I belong to on Facebook just voted to read Abraham Lincoln Vampire Hunter so I'm going to have to download that to my Nook today.
I am hoping... winter is finally finished with us and this warm (not hot) weather is here to stay.
I am looking forward to... the end of the school year. Only 19 more days...hurry up and get here June 3!
I am learning... to use my Ruger .357 revolver safely and responsibly.
Around the house... soooooo much needs doing....laundry, unpacking of summer clothes and putting away of winter clothes, cleaning up the (earlier mentioned) kitchen, etc.....and very little of it is going to get done today because of the (also earlier mentioned) birthday party.
I am pondering... how on earth so many people fall in line and follow people like Hitler, Stalin, and Mussolini? What makes the majority of a nation's population blindly fall in line? (Sorry...Tim watches the History channel on Sunday mornings and they are talking about WW II today.)
A favorite quote for today... Be kind to unkind people. They need it the most.
One of my favorite things... My custom ice cream flavor at Coldstone Creamery....Chocobanzel. That's chocolate ice cream with bananas and pretzels mixed in.
A few plans for the rest of the week: That to-do list from up above needs to be worked on. Tuesday evening is Bible study at church. Wednesday I have to go for another test in the search to find out why my hands and feet tingle. This is one half of a test where they send electrical impulses through your extremities to see if there is nerve damage. They will do the rest of it next Monday. Anyway, have heard all the horror stories so I'm not looking forward to it at all.
A peek into my day... This is actually a peek into my yesterday. I had an all day class on gun use, gun safety, etc. It was very interesting and I finally got to shoot the revolver I bought last August. It was the first time the gun was fired and the first time I ever fired a weapon. Check out the picture....pretty good for a first time! The instructor said I couldn't have picked a harder pistol to learn on and that since I did as well as I did (good enough to qualify if I were a cop and good enough to stop the bad guys) he thinks once I have some more experience under my belt I'm going to be "lethal."

not only can people fall in line, bit people are "parrots". watch how quickly people quote tv shows and some else's opinions, especially ones learned via sicial media.
