Wednesday Hodgepodge

Hooooo-raaaah!  Today was the last day of any school for the summer.  And what did I do?  I agreed to drive a bus three mornings a week for a Christian camp.  Ah well...it is only for about an hour 3 times a week, the camp would be desperate if I said no, and they are such nice people.  I'd probably do it for free just to help them out, but don't tell them that.!  LOL  I start June 18.

Things are going good with Miss Daisy, but whew!  I forgot just how much work it is running after a puppy. She's a little sweetheart, though.  Totally worth it.

Well, on with the Wednesday Hodgepodge, courtesy of Joyce.

1. How many students were in your high school graduating class? Did you know most, if not all of them?
~ There were over 360 in my graduating class.  At the time I guess I knew most of them by name.  Since getting on Facebook I can't believe how many I don't remember at all.

2. What was the last thing you photographed?
~ Daisy

3. Pickles-love 'em or loathe 'em? If its love what's something you eat that needs a pickle?
~ I love dill pickles and sweet gherkins.  Gotta have the gherkins with my grilled cheese.

4. What's a stereotype you seem to perpetuate without meaning to?
~ Bookworms are total dorks.

5. Ever been horse back riding? If so is it something you enjoy? If not, do you have any interest? Did you watch the Kentucky Derby? Will you be watching the last leg of the Triple Crown this weekend?
~ I haven't ridden in years, but used to quite frequently.  If I had the place and the money I'd own horses.  I'm not really into racing.

6. What's your favorite 'wedding' movie?
~ Hands down....My Big Fat Greek Wedding.

7. What is one 'tourist attraction' in the USA you'd like to see in person.
~ I can't pick just one!  I am so into all those great old tacky roadside attractions that I want to drive across the U.S. on Route 30 (and do a detour on Route 66) just to see them!

8. Insert your own random thought here.

Route 66 runs through Tulsa (about a mile south of my house) so I vote that your detour takes you here!

Will the Camp bus route run all summer?

P.S. I want to do a Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives tour one of these days! See the country and sample great food in one fell swoop!

My graduating class was about the same size. It is funny when I hear a classmate's name now I can't remember many of them.
Enjoy the driving for camp :)

Veronica...Isn't it? I nearly spit my iced tea all over the computer when I read it. Thanks for stopping by!

Beth...One of these days...and that goes for the DDD tour, too. :)

Ellen...Heh-heh, just keeedding. Haven't had a donut in ages. :) In fact, did a grocery run with Meg last night and the house is full of nothing but good stuff.

Theresa...I know! I have to drag out the yearbooks and look at the face from back then and even then I still come up with nothing. Could the dementia be setting in already?? ;)

Ooooh gherkins and grilled cheese! No, I"m going to have to make some. Daisy is such a darling, I love puppy breath before they get too big and it becomes real doggy breath. And you have such a big heart, Stacy driving the bus for the camp.

I was just watching Big Fat Greek Wedding yesterday on cable. We took a trip from Illinois to California many many years ago on Route 66. I was a very young girl.
As an adult our first house was off of Route 66 in Western Springs, Ill and 24 years ago our first house in California was also off of Route 66. I am a fan!!!

Shayla... :D Thanks for visiting. Oh, and I'm going to be singing your name all evening to the tune of "Layla."

Wendy...How were the grilled cheese and gherkins? I do believe I know what I'm having for lunch tomorrow. LOL Thanks for the sweet words...you are always too kind. Daisy's going to be a little girl so maybe she'll never get nasty old big dog breath. ;)

Debby...I knew I loved you!
